LAURION GROUP LISTS A PROGRAMME OF EUR 100 MILLION SENIOR GUARANTEED NOTES WITH RATING BBB/A-3 IN VIENNA STOCK EXCHANGE

The family office goes to the financial markets to fund its growth.

LAURION will continue to invest in alternative assets, mainly in private debt, real estate and private equity.

Barcelona, September 2020 – LAURION GROUP issued a Programme of senior guaranteed notes up to the maximum amount of EUR 100,000,000 in the Vienna Stock Exchange. The notes will be admitted for trading in the Vienna MTF Market.

This Programme is one of the first goals of the new overall strategy implemented by the recently appointed Management Team of Laurion Group, led by Tiago Salgado, and aims to obtain a new atractive source of funding that will allow to consolidate the growth of the portfolio of alternative investments managed by the Group.

To structure this Programme, Laurion hired the divison of investment banking of EBN Banco de Negocios as the Capital Markets Advisor and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo as the Legal Advisor.

The Programme obtained a long-term credit rating of BBB and a short-term credit rating A-3 with stable Outlook. Under the said Program, it will be issued notes in different tranches, with maturities between 3 and 10 years and intended only for institutional investors.

Jordi Berini, the Group Executive Chairman and main shareholder of LAURION GROUP, mentions that “we are very optimistic with this Programme and with the future of our strategic growth model. It is the right time for our Group to go to the market and do its first debt issue to obtain more liquidity. It will allow us to grow in a sustainable way and to invest in the business opportunities that we have in our pipeline without divesting in other assets or using the traditional bank loans.”

Tiago Salgado, Vice Chairman and CEO of the organization, adds that “we are very proud that, in today’s reality of COVID-19 and deep economical recession, our first debt issue of EUR 100 Million obtained an investment grade credit rating of BBB, what proves the quality of our portfolio, track record and guarantees that we provide to the noteholders.”

Stemming from an industrial background, LAURION GROUP is a solid family owned group of companies with headquarters in Barcelona and a multinational approach.

With business interests and partners across Europe, the Group focuses on investing and managing a portfolio of alternative investments, namely investments in Private Debt, Real Estate and Private Equity.
